The 37th annual Clermont County Federation of Women’s Clubs meeting takes place June 3 at Amelia School Auditorium with host club duties by Amelia Women’s Club. Morning session begins 9 45 with songs devotionals and speeches. Commencement exercises for Batavia Schools held May 28 in Batavia High School Auditorium with 25 graduates and honor students Ralph Hulick Mary Aicholtz and Althea Moyer.

Good Citizen Lanuffler Dies in Cincinnati Hospital
Peter Lanuffler age 64 of Olive Branch died Thursday evening in Cincinnati hospital. Funeral from Olive Branch M E church on Sunday with interment in Olive Branch cemetery. He was a merchant in his hometown for many years and left a widow and four children. He was held in high esteem by all who knew him.

Batavia Alumni Meeting at Batavia High School
Batavia High School hosted its alumni gathering in the school auditorium with Forrest E. Ely presiding. A play titled Black Cats will be presented Tuesday evening June 8 at 8 o clock. Admission is 26 cents for adults and 10 cents for children under 14. Eight adult tickets grant one free child ticket. Petition State to Take Over 2 More Roads
