Mr and Mrs E W Patchell marked their twenty fifth wedding anniversary at home in Stonelick last Tuesday July 18 with about a hundred guests. Relatives from Batavia Milford Owensville Lynchburg and nearby areas joined the couple for a silver token exchange and a lengthy luncheon featuring ice cream cakes coffee and a large cooler.

W H Mead of Glen Este died last Sunday after a brief illness, age not stated. A Civil War veteran and longtime Republican, he served as postmaster and ran a general store. He buried his wife six weeks earlier and leaves a large family. Funeral was at 2:00 PM from his home with burial at Mount Moriah cemetery.

Geo Jones Dies After Lingering Illness in Cincinnati
Geo Jones a colored man who moved to Cincinnati last fall with his family died there last Sunday after a long illness. He served three years in the Civil War and leaves a widow and 24 children. Burial will be in Cincinnati Tuesday.

County approves bonds to buy Batavia pike toll road
