Sheriff Fitch notes rising murders among colored people in the state and vowed to pursue justice.
The Topeka Capital, a leading progressive Republican paper, reports that Iowa and Kansas progressives are aligned with Taft and show no organized opposition. The La Follette movement appears cramped and negligible in this region.
By press time Adams county lists three candidates vying to be delegates to the constitutional convention while Clermont remains quiet with no candidates yet and expects to begin efforts soon.
Deputy Clerk Weltz of Clinton county filed the quarterly report and delivered a $4302.35 check to Treasurer Bryan for fines. Clermont county clerk turned in $641.04 for the year from the same source.
Clerk-elect Fetzer takes office August 7 with bond fixed by the board of county commissioners. He will be ably assisted by Miss Alice Dimmitt who is expected to remain in the same capacity for another term.
In January 1913 Attorney General Hogan directs that infirmary director terms run to that month and the institution’s business be handed to the superintendent. County commissioners issue orders. The public should see itemized annual expenses with full records filed by the board secretary, replacing past delays.
Ohio voters will receive four ballots at the polls this fall. The first is the regular municipal or township ballot with party columns.
