Truck Goes Over Bank Near Batavia
Albert Erion superintendent of the Batavia Light plant with his brother Chris and daughter from Cincinnati and two of his children were in a town truck when it ran off a hill by Chas Seyler’s residence. The vehicle turned over trapping Chris and his daughter under it. They freed Erion who had a dislocated hip and he was treated at Dr. Ashburn's office and taken to his brother's country home. A gravel road and lack of a protection rail were noted.

The Wyatt farm barn near Lindale owned by Judge Stafford and family was burned down last Sunday at midnight. It housed the new hay crop and farm implements. Estimated loss about 5000 dollars with 2800 dollars insured. Origin thought to be spontaneous combustion. Ohio Farmers held 2000 dollars of the insurance.

New Law on Auto Sales Goes Into Effect July 26
The Atwood law requires automobile owners in Clermont county to file sworn statements or bills of sale with the clerk of courts. Owners with cars purchased before August 17, 1921 must produce a notarized duplicate statement describing the car, or face penalties. Cars bought after that date need only a bill of sale. A new bill of sale must be executed for each sale and filed within three days.

Methodist ministers hold district meeting at Brown County Fairgrounds
The annual Methodist ministerial gathering at Brown County Fairgrounds on Tuesday drew large crowds, with contests and a record regional turnout. Decatur’s congregation received the American flag for sending the most members, Rev. E Cummings noting 86 attendees, Manchester listed second. A noon meal, Community Band music, and a ball game complemented the day.

Winter Sheep Feeding Experiment On Farm Shows Mixed Results
W. E. Weaver reports a winter feeding trial with Shropshire ewes using two rations based on shelled corn soybeans and soybeans with oil meal. Ewes carried ear tagged weights and costs tracked. lamb creep feed included ground corn oats and oil meal. Milk output was likely insufficient to sustain lamb growth, so conclusions remain cautious.

Free Insulin Treatment Offered by Cincinnati Hospitals
Seton Hospital Cincinnati announced free insulin treatment for diabetics after securing a supply. Insulin, licensed from the University of Toronto, is used where proper administration facilities exist. Cincinnati General Hospital under Dr A G Bachmeyer was the first public site to obtain insulin. The demand prompted Seton to extend treatment to additional diabetics.

Three Cornered Contract Paves Cincinnati Route Progress
The pike from the Cincinnati pike at Olive Branch toward Highland Park is partly built by county trustees and the Rotary Club of Cincinnati. Each party contributed equally $200 totaling $600, now exhausted. Trustees seek funds to finish. commissioners say many county roads need attention. The road would link the Grant Highway with the Cincinnati pike from Batavia. Basilton and N B S Heidlebaugh and wives visited Oxford Sunday. A star mail route soon set between Batavia and Marathon with one mail each way daily.
