Four people were injured in two weekend collisions at Rt 32 and Brick Lane Willowville. Sidney Sams 54 of Glen Este was cited for failure to yield. Jennings Posey 48 of Batavia suffered shoulder injuries. Mrs Ata Posey 48 had chest and leg injuries. Nine year old John N Kemplen sustained a head laceration. His father Charles E Kemplen 36 was cited for failure to stop.

Graveside rites for Miss Sarah Elizabeth Paxton 71 who died Wednesday at Sheltering Oaks Hospital Cincinnati were held at Miamiville Cemetery. A Batavia village clerk for 10 years she was a descendant of Revolutionary War Col. Thomas Paxton and member of the Woman's Club and First Presbyterian Church. She leaves a niece and two nephews.

Youth Burned In Corn Crib Blaze Near Afton
Joseph Bucher Jr., 13, suffered first and second degree burns on his right arm at 8 30 p m when he tried to extinguish a blaze in a corncrib at his home on Zagar Road off Rt 32 Afton Williamsburg Fire Department Chief Ernest Weak saved the crib and a nearby tractor and the youth was taken to Our Lady of Mercy Hospital by the Williamsburg Life Squad. He was treated and released. Firefighters also responded to Lytle Hay Grain on Rt 32 near Afton at 3 30 a m the same day where Cecil Faulker of Rt 3 Mt Crab started a truck when it backfired through the carburetor and caught fire.
