Last Saturday at 12:30 the P Sullivan Shoe Co in Williamsburg caught fire likely from wiring in the engine room. The three story plant burned to the ground with $75,000 in stock and machinery lost. Nearby Williamsburg Furniture Co buildings and lumber yards were also destroyed, no insurance on the furniture stock, Bethel Batavia Mt Crab departments aided, two hundred workers may lose jobs as town builds a dam and water mains.
