Farmers Market Opens Thursday With City Support
State Sen. Cooper Snyder expected to attend the opening of a new farmers market on Thursday. Enid Punstiy allows use of part of its parking lot for stalls as growers from Brown and Adams counties and Clermont participate. Snyder, who has worked for years on agricultural diversification, notes a 30 million dollar tobacco industry faces pressure while tourism and produce programs aid farmers. Ron Mathis chairs the market as Ohio education and vegetable groups help organize space and training for market readiness.
