Dangerous Pair Arrested After Cross State Crime Ring
A man and a woman linked to a Passaic New Jersey gang were arrested in Amelia Ohio after a statewide dragnet including ten state troopers and sheriff deputies. Basil Potensa and Mary Mona, both from Jersey City, are held for Passaic authorities who accuse Potensa of leading the gang in a series of hold ups and an attempted murder. The couple had been staying at the home of Mrs. Belle Kirgan in Amelia since July and left Thursday night. The girl allegedly lured victims to getaways while gang members attacked, with other incidents noted in Hartford Connecticut and Passaic payroll thefts. Potensa previously jumped bail in Passaic after a cigarette hijacking arrest.

Two Drownings Reported Near New Richmond Ohio

Four Women Injured In Route 125 Crash Near Amelia
Four women were seriously injured when a light sedan left State Route 125 one mile west of Amelia and rolled over after a front tire blew out. The group includes Elizabeth Dorsche r, 84, Cincinnati. Josephine Foster, Amelia. Carrie Beck, Amelia. and Clara Gwinner, Cincinnati. They were taken to Good Samaritan Hospital by two T. P. White and Sons ambulances after treatment by Dr. J. W.
