Pleaant Ridge Farmer Gored by Bull in Daytime Attack

Joseph Mott of Pleasant Ridge Pierce township sustained severe injuries when a bull broke loose and tossed him into the air three times near his home. He died not confirmed but considered hopeless by Dr. J W Mott. Also Amos Smith fourteen was badly bruised in a runaway near New Richmond. Mrs Ellen Moore survived with minor injuries. Boston Camp Meeting set for August 7 and 14 with preaching music fellowship and fare.

Child custody dispute and writ of habeas corpus in Clermont County

Mrs. Carter sues in Probate Court after John Carter forcibly takes their nursing child. Sheriff Loyd carries the writ to Batavia, placing the baby in custody until a hearing tomorrow to decide guardianship. The note also criticizes the Stonelick bridge project delays and questions the county commissioners.

Banter and Sale of Fair Privileges At Bantam Fair Grounds

A large crowd attended the Bantam Fair Grounds last Saturday for the sale of stand privileges. Prices topped expectations as bidders showed enthusiasm. The fair, set for the last two days of August and first two of September, promises better premiums and improved grounds. Purchasers included Nooi Gobo an santa teetee ena for 71.75 and others. the first four are grocery privileges, with one stand not sold.

Large Berry Crop and Strong Prices Reported

Mt Pisgah cultivator B F Lindsey notes a large berry crop and solid prices. He is receiving six dollars per stand or three dollars per bushel and expects prices to rise. The Clermont Courier notes Major Blackburn scheduled to speak at a county church, with playful commentary on a mystic sign.

M. E. Church Social Honors Longmarried Couple

The M. E. Church social at Mrs. Anna Sinks residence in Williamsburg Wednesday evening drew about thirty dollars. Capt. E. B. Holmes led the event with a presentation of a $50 gold purse to Mr. and Mrs. William L. Kain, the oldest couple present, from their children D. A. Reese and W. A. Kain. Prof. Byron Williams delivered the speech.
