Sunshine bass fishing at Harsha Lake draws anglers
The Sunshine bass or sunshine hybrids at Harsha Lake near East Fork park attract anglers with fast growth and strong runs. Since 1983 Ohio’s Harsha Lake has stocked about 135000 hybrids, averaging 15 inches and 1 1/2 pounds, with some reaching 18 inches. The fish feed mainly on gizzard shad, with open-water schooling and feeding around shad. There are no size or possession limits, and anglers are invited to record tag details at the park office for fishery management.
