Festival of Mobile Homes Highlights Ohio Industry Growth
The Southwest Mobile Dealers Association hosted a show behind the Ford plant near Batavia Williamsburg Pike to educate families entering the housing market. Ed Parish of the Clermont County Chamber of Commerce noted Ohio's mobile home industry valued at about 250 million dollars annually, with 213 manufactured homes recorded in Clermont County in 1980. Mary Ellen Seery of Holiday Homes of Milford and George Armstrong of Arm units spoke about price ranges and attracting different buyers, as they offered maps, directions, and admission tickets to Greenbriar displays and Eastgate Mall.
