Asa Smith of Williamsburg died Thursday at age 86. Born in New Jersey in 1805, he moved with his parents to Clermont county near Union Chapel, later renting the farm and settling in Williamsburg. He sold the property three years ago to Joseph Leeds. He was twice married, first to Abigail Holiday and then to Ann Boulware. He left three children W. W. Smith of Cincinnati, John B. Smith of Fort Collins, and Mary C. Wills of Columbus. His second wife preceded him in death. A large funeral crowd mourned his passing.
