Andrew Harvey Goff 65 died at home on Deerfield Road near Williamsburg last Friday January 22. A well known Clermont County figure he practiced law briefly before turning to saw milling farming and stock raising. He rode a rope tire bicycle into Cincinnati and once wagered on hair length. he was generous sociable and well liked. Funeral services were held at his home on Monday.

Farmers Meet Promotes Noble Profession in Clermont
Two institutes were held in Clermont county last week one at Milford for Miami township farmers on the 18th and 19th and the other at New Richmond for Ohio township residents on the south side of the county. State speakers and local talent drew an attentive crowd with excellent instrumental and vocal numbers readings and recitations. The meetings benefited general readers and especially farmers and encouraged ongoing enterprise. The Southern Clermont County Institute will be held at Felicity February 1 and 2.

Viander Newberry of Bethel died at Lucien Cornwell’s home last week aged 54. A former hand car fall led to injuries and pneumonia, leaving a widow and several children.
