Ralph L. Clyburn of Batavian was named sub urban advertising supervisor for Cincinnati and Sub urban Bell Telephone Company. He will oversee the firm’s community newspaper advertising program. Clyburn previously edited the Eastern Hamilton County Messenger and studied at Butler University. He lives in Batavia with his wife Joanne and son Jeffrey.

Hilda Mandeville Named County Chair For Heart Sunday Drive

At a Batavia Presbyterian Church meeting on January 22 Mrs. Hilda Mandeville was named county general chairman for the Heart Sunday Campaign set for February 25. She is a legal secretary and active in local civic groups, with a future slate to be announced. The session featured remarks by Ohio State Heart Association leaders and showed campaign materials including a film with Eisenhower remarks. The next meeting is February 20 at 8 p.m. to finalize details and recruit solicitors.

County commissioners seek to resolve a dispute over relief debt from Cincinnati hospitals. Moscow Plans March 23 Vote on School Area Transfer

Moscow residents will vote March 23 in a special election on transferring the Moscow school district to the New Richmond exempted village district. The move follows a petition from residents after a prior rejection of merging with Felicity Franklin. About 70 Moscow students now attend Felicity High School, and transfer would cut Felicity High School enrollment to about 190, below the 240 minimum for a state charter.

President Kennedy announced Covington Kentucky will host a $2 million IRS data processing center chosen from 30 sites including Clermont County. The center will hire 1500 to 1800 workers with a $6 million payroll and begin processing returns from five states by 1964 amid charges of political motivation and regional bias.
