Clermont County seeks HUD funds for nine development projects

Clermont County has filed a $444,506 HUD pre application with the State Clearing House for nine projects. They include a housing office, drainage fixes around Parker Road and Stumpy Lane Goshen Road, Bethel Tate recreation facilities, street upgrades, courthouse accessibility lifts, Meals on Wheels funding, youth services continuation, a SR 28 relocation study, and admin costs. HUD approval is expected by April 15 after the state review.

Williamsville nurse named County's Miss Hope

Ian Banfill R N has been named Miss Hope of Clermont County for 1976 by Robert Ringland president of the county unit of the American Cancer Society. EPA offers no reimbursement for Union inflow project

Clermont County Commissioners learn from EPA officials that no reimbursement will be provided for the Union Township sewage inflow correction. Steffens Construction Co. awarded a 36000 contract but work cannot begin until federal approval. Project costs total about 1900000 with a separate treatment plant estimated at 1 million.

Clermont County weighs funding for two justice centers

Clermont County commissioners consider financing two justice centers with a total cost of 2 million dollars. A levy would tax 1.5 mills for three years, while a bond issue would run 0.38 mills for 23 years. County administrator William Whitford favors the levy to avoid 1.2 million in interest. They may also reject both options and postpone.

Blood Drive Set In Memory Of Ann Folts

Board seeks new clerk as Coughlen resigns

Superintendent Robert Tucker refused to comment on Coughlen's resignation, noting the clerk's post is controlled by the board. The board authorized a search for qualified candidates, with Tucker sending inquiries across Cincinnati and to Ohio School Business officials in Columbus.

Bridge plans ready for bids in spring

Milford to let bids for a new Little Miami River bridge in spring after final planning. The project creates split traffic on Water Street and Main Street to ease rush hour congestion. Land acquisitions on Hamilton and Clermont sides proceed with Issue 1 funding. ODOT will handle bid letting through District Einkebanon.
