Bassil Henderson of Kentucky faced common pleas court Monday for stealing a cow near Pt Pleasant last summer. He was arrested with the cow and indicted by the grand jury. 29 local witnesses testified at $3.80 each. four saw Henderson with the animal. A guilty verdict was returned evening. State Pike Plans Considered For Clermont County
County officials say any State pike built in Clermont in summer 1919 would use the worn old Ohio pike bed. Estimated at about 20 000 dollars per mile wartime price, the project would span eight and a half miles from Hamilton County into Clermont Brown and Adams counties. In Highland county fox trapping thrives this winter with many pelts bringing good prices. L G Crabtree of Otway sold nine fox hides in Hillsboro last week all similarly marked and scar free. The nine pelts brought about $180 at near twenty dollars per pelt.
