Suit Seeks 250000 For Child Attacked By Dog
Richard Baxter files in Common Pleas Court on behalf of his 9 year old daughter Sue Ann seeking 250000 in damages after a March 31 1970 dog attack by Edward and Mrs. Edward Chandler. Common Pleas Judge Louis B Schwartz will set a date to hear testimony in a suit to stop New Richmond from doubling water and sewer rates. Judge Schwartz denied village solicitor Paul Krone's motion to dismiss, citing Board of Public Affairs as the rate setter. Douglas Mansfield for 32 plaintiffs said 60 days are needed to prepare. A joint meeting considered contracting a private hauler for garbage collection, a village function, with no increase to the $2 monthly rate.
