Fruit Growers to Convene in Amelia for Orchardists Meeting
About 100 county orchardists will gather at the Amelia town hall at 10 a m Tuesday January 27. The meeting will feature cooperative purchasing of agricultural chemicals, 1981 officers to be elected, a noon meal served by Mt. About 100 Tobacco Club members from Clermont Brown Adams and Highland counties gathered in Ripley on Saturday January 17 for the 4-H Tobacco Show and Sale. Prizes totaled 126 with premiums by a committee of tobacco buyers. High basket sold at 86 cents per pound. several baskets above 80 cents. high average crop around 82 cents.
