Quinn Installed as Lt Governor of Kiwanis Eighth Division

William H. Quinn of Ander Township was installed as Lt Governor of Kiwanis Eighth Division at the Akron meeting on Saturday January 7. He has eleven years as a Kiwanian and leadership roles with Owensville and Eighth Division committees. he leads Quinn Insurance Agency and has past president status with Clermont County Association of Insurance Agents. The Eighth Division includes thirteen clubs and 410 members. First Division Council meeting set for January 19 at El Rancho Rankin Restaurant hosted by Mt Lookout Hyde Park Club led by President Don Murphy.

Vanlandingham Elected Clermont County Planning Chief in 1967

Eugene Vanlandingham of Goshen, a builder, will head the Clermont County Planning Commission in 1967, his fifth year on the panel. He replaces Robert Tilley who resigned for a Michigan job transfer. Harley Houck becomes vice chairman, Ed Miller reelected secretary, with 1967 committee assignments announced. The panel rejected a zoning change request by Charles McGuire for a Glen Este site, with public hearing set for Jan. 18. Buckley noted $7894 unspent from 1966 budget out of $27,000. Vanlandingham urged a county north south highway plan to present to state officials.

Lincoln Day Dinner Plans for Clermont County Club

Clermont County Republican Club kicked off plans for a February 10 Lincoln Day Dinner. Louis Schwartz will finish arrangements and ticket sales while Robert True named Ernest Friedrich to lead a permanent booth project for fairs and outdoor events. Helen Hardy will head an addressing system group for better clan communications with county committees.
