Hospital Wing Nears Completion At Our Lady Of Mercy
MARIEMONT The new wing of Our Lady of Mercy Hospital will double capacity to 110 beds and be ready for occupancy by the end of January. Construction began March 6, 1956, with 90 beds and 36 basins to be added. total beds will be 110 after reallocation of space. The project costs 1.2 million dollars with Magnolo and Quick as architects and Peaker Construction as general contractor. An inservice nurse meeting is set for 7 30 PM in the new wing, with a demonstration of the new oxygen equipment by Joseph Delevaigne of National Cylinder and Gas Co followed by a tour for nurses.

Break-Ins Reported at County Businesses
Two county firms suffered intrusions Wednesday night. Don Williams’ Amelia service station lost 50 dollars from a cash register and 75 dollars in sales tax stamps from a truck and an Ed Lindsey owned auto. the car was found Thursday in Cincinnati. Lytle Hay and Grain near Batavia had a window entry but nothing was taken. Robert L. Powell of Batavia was named Federal Civil Servant of the Year in the Cincinnati area. he’ll receive a plaque January 24 at a Hotel Netherland Hilton banquet.

Milford Budget Set At $74 122 For 1959 Village Bills
The Milford village council approved a general fund budget of 74 122 dollars for 1959 covering village operations including salaries and waste disposal.
