The remains of Mr. Hector Lynch passed through this place on Sunday last. He was born in Goshen New York May 6 1800 and moved to Goshen this county at age fourteen. He lived there until 1865 when widowed he married Mrs. Griffith of this place where he resided until death. His wife was ill at her daughter's in Carthage while he was with a daughter in Fulton at the time of death.

In Loveland on Saturday night burglars tapped the Machine Shop and Carriage Factory. They stole dies clamps and tools from the carriage factory and pried open a window at Joseph Shearer’s Broad Way shop then forced doors into the machine shops. The thieves loaded up and left some items behind. Officer Bob Martin is handling the case.
