Steadily increasing prices marked the past week in Ripley Ohio with a local house reporting a sea son’s high average of 20.66 dollars. Board of Tobacco Trade figures show 1,125,444 pounds sold in five days for 192,968.71 dollars, bringing the year’s total to 3,548,328 pounds and 583,894 dollars paid to growers. The average stands at 16.65 dollars and outlook predicts about seven million pounds sold before market closes early February.
