Two colored children died last week at grandparents' home of Mr and Mrs Leslie Jones from spinal meningitis. Death of William McKay at Wilmington from typhoid fever
The Courier reports the death of William McKay at Wilmington last Thursday night from typhoid fever after a brief illness. Aged about 85, he started in Waynesville and rose to editor of the Western Star before leasing the Wilmington Journal a year ago. Remains sent to Lebanon for burial.
