Hogan Named President at County Commission Reorganization

At the reorganizational meeting on Monday morning, Tim Hogan aged 32 was named president of the county board of commissioners for 1978. He replaces Jerry Wiesenhahn, who becomes vice president. Hogan joined the board in 1974.

Tax bills likely late in Clermont County says treasurer

Clermont County Treasurer Albert Hines and Auditor James Rymer told press taxes will probably mail late this year though the February 17 payment deadline remains. Delays stem from HB 920 complexity and state tax reduction factors, with a 10 percent late fee after February 17.

Clermont County Eyes Big Growth in 1978 Says Strong

Clermont County economic chief Dan Strong predicts 1978 will be a tremendous year with major and minor companies potentially adding about a thousand jobs each. He notes Ford's plant spurs airport upgrades and a 6000 foot runway expansion, while a new mall and family restaurants are in the works. Transportation and recreation plans, including Oak Tree Country Club, are also on the horizon.
