Kevin Thomas Lockard, 19, of Anderson Township, faces murder charges after a fight at Big A's Tavern left jockey Ovidio Diaz, 48, dead. Diaz, intoxicated, was ejected. an elder Lockard allegedly shoved him with a rock, then the younger attacked Diaz with repeated punches. Diaz died en route to relatives in New Richmond. autopsy pending.
Clermont County lands tax rates for 1984 approved by the Ohio Department of Taxation. Bills mail late next week with a February 15 payment deadline. A reduction factor lowers billed mills to keep revenue steady, making 51.924 mills the year’s top rate for Goshen Township. Variations across 54 districts mean homeowners with similar values may pay different taxes, as shown by sample half year bills from Day Heights, Union Forest, and Pleasant Acres.
