William Henry Moyer of Clermont county born in Brown county near Bethel is the oldest living Civil War veteran in the area. He served in Co A and Co F of Ohio volunteers, was a township trustee and mail carrier, and later lived in Iowa before returning to Clermont. He spent years in a wheelchair and now lives with his daughter.
