Hood's Sarsaparilla is praised as a remedy for catarrh by many users.
The Clinton Republican compares bank deposits in Clinton and Warren counties, noting Wilmington banks hold about 537000 while Lebanon banks hold less than half as much. It adds Clermont has about 420000 in deposits from four banks plus external deposits, and warns the delinquent lists are a statewide concern with Clermont boasting the largest delinquent tally.
The Batavia Male Quartet performed at city hall last Friday to a large critical audience. Members included Prof. G. P. Chatterton, W. B. Walker, W. E. Potts, and P. F. Jamieson with Mrs. Charles Belt as accompanist. Georgia Thompson and Ma Cowen provided contralto support, Temple Townsley played trombone solos, and Cecil Hulick gave a charming recitation. L. R. White sold his stock and goodwill of the Dennison building grocery on Main street to David Shelton of Bradyville Adams county. Shelton and family will occupy the Leonard property on Wood street. He is described as a first class businessman and is expected to succeed.
George Simonton age 18 of Loveland boarded the Blaine special on Monday intending to ride to the coal pit a half mile above. The train did not stop and he jumped off hitting his head on a cross tie, suffering serious injuries and was taken home by friends.
