Captain Benneville Kline prominent in business, real estate, and packing circles died at his Amelia home from a paralytic stroke suffered January 21. Born January 9, 1821 in Reading Pennsylvania, he leaves three wives and 18 siblings among five survivors. He served as captain in the 188th C V L and held Mills & Kline and Clermont Packing Company roles. Funeral at Mt. Washington Baptist Church with I O O F vault interment.

Dead by the roadside an Old Soldier dies near Olive Branch
Orlando Ward of Willowville attended the Odd Fellows supper at Olive Branch last Saturday night then rode home on horseback. He fainted soon after starting, fell from the horse and died in the roadway. Neighbor John Hunt found him. heart failure was given as the cause after an inquest. The funeral was held yesterday under Odd Fellows direction.

David McClung longtime Wil Mamaburg resident died at his home Saturday night in his 80th year. An Odd Fellow he was buried from the M. E. church Monday with lodge rites.
