Embalming Fluid Thought To Kill Ohio Undertaker
James M. Brannock died Sunday December 24 after months of illness. He is believed to have inhaled embalming fluid while preparing a body for burial. Aged 58, he was born in Kentucky and worked as an undertaker in Feesburg Brown County and Felicity. Funeral services were held Tuesday at Felicity conducted by Rev. Dr. Hench. Burial was in Shiloh cemetery. He leaves a wife and eight children.

Bell line mixup sparks fire alarm at Bethel and Masonic hall
Crossed wires on the Bell telephone line at Bethel set off an alarm of fire during an entertainment at the Masonic hall Wednesday night last. A bank building wire crossed with a neighbor caused a flash that grew into a blaze destroying the box pole arms and other fixtures, costing several hundred dollars. All town phones are out of service and will be unusable for days.
