Neville McLachlan and Phillips are home from Lains Station toiled in cooperage. F E Hill a Cincinnati medical student spent Christmas with parents. Miss Mary Bronson returns home from Cincinnati. The Christmas tree by Christian and M E Sabbath schools was a grand success. Mrs Nettie Hastings Mt Pisgah is home for holidays. Alex Sanders and family from Covington visit relatives. Protracted meeting starts at M E church this Sunday. George Moors of Cumberland Gap TN visits. Scarlet fever case reported with Callie Hastings and Carrie Melvin as victims.
A lively Bantam crowd attended a Christmas Eve program at the Christian church near Amelia. The Raneen performance was well rendered and the music praised. A ship shaped tree was brought in and loaded with gifts for local children, who enjoyed a festive distribution before returning home. Miss May Hitch and George visit grandparents. Olive White from Madisonville visits his mother. Compliments on Bantam’s pike are widespread. Charlie and Laurence Flinn spend the holidays in Bantam.
W W Perkins and wife spent Christmas at Mr Bartholomews. Mary and Annie Dial shopped in Betsy Saturday. Frank Miley and family spent Sunday at Wm Perkins. Alonzo Butler family attended Christmas dinner at Mrs Avey’s. An infant of Mr Garber was buried last Saturday. Mrs Davis and Mrs Lillie attended Mr Mace Ely’s funeral last Friday. Perkins and wife were guests of Mrs Troy on Christmas day. George Perry passed holidays with grandma. Many attended the Christian church Christmas Eve. James Peremany visited recently with his father. Miss Jennie Curry and Harvey Curry were in town recently.

Cedron residents note visits by McGraw family and others in Cincinnati area last week. McGraw shipped turkeys to Cincinnati, and road improvements include two bridges completed with two more soon. Cedron seeks a pike from Utopia to Felicity. Aunt Jane Miller and Augusta Miller returned home. An oyster supper is planned New Years Eve at the M E church under C Miller and J joggess supervision. Cedron school reports six pupils on average.
Typhoid cases rise at Joseph and Mrs Martha Brown with daughters Mary Dacy Mollie Ingle of Hillsboro visiting relatives. Miss Eliza Thompson from Columbus stays with sister Mrs Dacy.
