Ray Bradford III Hospitalized After Sudden Illness

Ray Bradford III collapsed in his Bata Via office and was rushed to the hospital amid reports of a serious heart attack. Doctors conducted multiple electrocardiograms, with two not showing a condition serious enough to explain the attack, and he remains under observation in room 256 as tests continue.

Motorist Dores Cooper Injured In Route 74 Crash

Motorist Dores Bruce Cooper aged 28 of Route 4 Batavia suffered facial and head lacerations and a fractured right ankle after he fell asleep at the wheel and struck an iron bridge railing on State Route 74 at Batavia edge. State Patrolman G R Cook investigated. Cooper was treated at Our Lady of Mercy Hospital and is a Cincinnati Street Railway Company bus driver.

Milk Content Bill Faces Legalizing Debate in Ohio

Representative John Hayden pledges careful consideration of a proposed law allowing distribution of plain or homogenized milk under four percent butterfat in Ohio. Man Found Looting Motel Room Charged After Police Chase

Robert Merrick of Covington Kentucky is held in Batavia jail on breaking and entering charges after a motel owner found him in a room at 4 45 am. He fled in a car, was chased by Hamilton County police who fired a shot, his car struck a fence and he was captured and bound over to a grand jury.

Third Holdup In Week Blamed On Organized Gang

Sheriff Derricks links a third armed robbery in one week to an organized gang targeting small independent grocers. Carl Istendorf’s Camargo shop on Guinea Pike was robbed by two masked men. $400 and a cash register loot were taken and Istendorf wounded. Earlier thefts at Jess Morgan’s near Cozaddale and R. B. Gilmore on OSS 22 near Warren County line reported similar methods. No leads yet.

Anstaett Elected Clermont County Baseball League President

Stanley Anstaett of Batavia was chosen president of the Clermont County Baseball League at the initial meeting at the county courthouse. Bill Massey was named league secretary. The group, with eight teams represented, discussed expansion to ten or twelve teams and reduced entry fees to 50 dollars.
