Boy's County Basketball Tournament Heads to Williamsburg

Preparations are complete for the Boy’s County Basketball Tournament to be held in Williamsburg next Saturday with finals set for Monday evening. Teams from across the county have shown strong improvement this winter and the committee promises ample room and smooth events.

Woman's Club Enjoys Colonial Program at Mrs Ferguson Home

The Woman's Club met at Mrs. Anna Ferguson's home with a paper on Historic Homes of America by Mrs. Horn and a colonial play George Washington's First Defeat performed by Mrs. Monroe Wiseman Mrs. 8 W Sprague and Mrs. J B Scott in colonial costumes. A lunch followed with colonial day foods and candy. The group also noted a trophy from a spelling match won against Business Men's Club during Lincoln Day at the armory. In Hamilton County Ohio Court Decree No 197568 Rebecca West Breeding vs Carl Leo Breeding granted divorce on gross neglect of duty. Mrs Breeding awarded beneficiary status on two life policies, defendant enjoined from changing beneficiaries. Costs and $50 attorney fees taxed against defendant. No alimony awarded.

Farmers Community Meetings Highlighted in Owensville and Batavia

Farmers' Community Meeting at Owensville High School on Wednesday March 3 at 7 30 p m features an old fashioned spelling bee and talks by Representative Edgington on Taxes and County Agent on Baby Chickens and Boys and Girls Club Work. A Batavia meeting Monday March 1 at 7 30 p m includes fertilizer orders and Cow Testing plan with Boys and Girls Club Work. Time of Certificates for 1926 27 Education Examinations

The Department of Education sets 1926 27 requirements for County Certificates. Four regular exams occur on the first Saturdays of April May and June and the last Friday of August. Loss narrows in Odd Fellows Grand Warden vote

Bethel resident James Fitzpatrick narrowly failed to win Grand Warden of the Grand Lodge of Odd Fellows in January's election. He totaled 38 134 votes to his opponent 8 164, missing by thirty seven votes despite strong local support from Clermont County and a well drilled team. New officers include Samuel N. Young as Grand Master and John N. Gledhill as Grand Warden.

Robbery at Bethel: Bluestein Store Looted by Clad Suspects

Bethel Bluestein Department Store was broken into last Wednesday night and goods worth several hundred dollars stolen including men suits trousers and ladies dresses. Charles Keys of Cincinnati was arrested wearing an oversized suit and claimed it came from robbers. Hayes of Harrison and Orley Herman also implicated as partners. authorities plan hearings as Sheriff Croswell coordinates with Cincinnati and Harrison officials.
