Harsha Urges Ban on U S Funds for U N Cuba Project
Congressman William H. Harsha called on Congress to refuse U S appropriations that could finance U N projects in Cuba or elsewhere. He noted the U N Special Fund covers Cuba’s agricultural program and warned U S funds are indistinguishable within that account. He argued such aid would aid Castro and spread Communism, urging controls on funds to prevent support for Communist governments.

Gas Excise Tax Distributed to Clermont County and Townships
State auditor Roger W. Tracy announced a second 1963 distribution of gasoline excise tax revenues. Clermont County will receive 20000 dollars and each township 800 dollars, bringing year to date payments to 3520000 for counties and 2121600 for townships. Funds are earmarked for highway improvement and maintenance.

Superintendent's Trial Begins Today
Robert C. Gower, superintendent of Goshen Schools, faces assault and battery charges in Clermont Common Pleas Court today. Clyde Allen of Goshen filed the charge, accusing Gower of unlawfully punishing his stepson, Larry Joe Marshall, at the school on Oct. 27. Judge John H. Houston is presiding. Common Pleas Judge M Dale Osborne disqualified himself after previously hearing the county court case.
