About 250 attended the U B Church Bible Class banquet last Thursday night. Tables featured blue and red decor with snow white linen as members served by church ladies and some men from the losing side helped. Rev Abbott introduced Judge Charles White and Judge T H Darby of Hamilton County Common Pleas Court delivered remarks. Rev Bonham spoke as well. Income Tax Help at Loveland Bank March 1
The income tax man will be at Loveland National Bank on March 1 to assist in filing returns. Under the 1928 Revenue Act, individuals with net income 1500 or more, married couples with net income 3500 or more, and those with gross income 5000 or more must file. The last day to file without penalty is March 16. late returns face heavy penalties.

Father and son-in-law Charged in Liquor Case at Felicity
James Lanham and Earl Raper of Felicity appeared before Judge Charles White on liquor law charges. Testimony by Lanham's wife Josephine damaged the defense, but Lanham admitted only finding whiskey by the roadside. Raper maintained innocence. both were released, with Raper returning to jail for a prior fine.

The couple celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary at Mt. Pisgah A O U hall on February 14. Thomas is 70 and Maria 71, both in good health. They have two daughters, one living Mrs Frank Hawkins and the late Mrs Chas Hawkins, seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren. James Evanshine attended the wedding, and about eighty two friends joined the celebration. Gifts were numerous and heartfelt with wishes for many more anniversaries.

Taylor Connor son of Swift and Hester Ann Connor was born March 12 1842 on The Old Taylor Farm near here He served in Company B 83rd O V I from 1862 to 1865 endured Salisbury prison Vicksburg siege and other battles He married Anna H Sheldon and lived forty seven years They had five daughters He remained active as a farmer and traded farm products for sixteen years He died January 18 1929 at age 86 after a long quiet faith filled life He did not fear death and faced it ready with devotion and hospitality remembered as Uncle Taylor by neighbors

Ex Deputy Sheriff Carl Dawson Dies After Illness
