Cherry Returned To Batavia Jail

Ohio motorists may use 1935 license plates until April 1. They cannot use 1936 tags before March 10. Temporary Bridge Washed Out at Williamsburg East Fork
The temporary bridge over the East Fork at Williamsburg was torn free by heavy river ice last Friday morning, destroying six center supports. Marshall Paris Turner heard the first cracking sounds from his nearby home as traffic had already been halted. Route 74 traffic now uses the new concrete bridge slated to open soon.

Charles Parker aged 20 of Bethel was arrested Saturday night by Sheriff G. G. Auxier Deputy Frank Abbott and Marshall C. G. Little for possession of 12 pints of whiskey in violation of the General Code. Parker was nabbed when he drove up in the rear with the pints after officers had searched the building for whiskey.
