Burial followed a Milford M E church service attended by many from his former home.
Twelve men were gathered for the Jones murder case with six sheriffs six lawyers six horses and six days spent on the process. expenses sting the public. About two hundred fifty jurors were summoned, many awakened at midnight to answer by noon in Batavia under law, as legal technicalities kept others from serving, effectively letting Jones pick his own jury.
