Shoe Factory Starts In Williamsburg Set To Grow
The new shoe factory moved to Williamsburg opened last week with over 60 on the payroll. The McNutt brick building on Water Street was bought and fitted for the plant. Production began satisfactorily and orders are being booked. Williamsburg leads the county in manufacturing with three chair factories, a shoe factory, a heel factory and a machine shop. A picture show runs twice weekly for the public.
