Clermont County plans to curb delinquent real estate taxes

Clermont County Auditor Blythe Jones outlined three steps to reduce the $113000 in delinquent real estate taxes. A new 8 percent penalty will start after March 8, and a published delinquent list will trigger potential forced tax sales. Largest arrears are in Miami and Ohio townships with others listed. notices will run in county newspapers.

Batavia Bulldogs Run Three Straight Wins In Local Hoops

Batavia high school basketball has won three in a row after a rough start. They beat Goshen 44 to 31 at home, then defeated Amelia 36 to 26, matching earlier figures in a win at Batavia. The streak continued with a 37 to 27 win at Owensville after a prior defeat to Saber, and reserves also won their curtain games. The team heads to New Richmond hoping to extend the run.
