Miss Laura B Roberts wed Cariefax Hill of Batavia Ohio in a quiet ceremony at the Roberts home near Proctor Montana on Sunday January 8 1911 attended by close relatives. The bride wore white silk and lace and was aided by her sister Miss Ethel E Hill by Ellery Proctor as a friend. A modest supper and dinner followed with plans uncertain for their future home. Young Batavia Man Dies After Pneumonia Post Operation
Arthur Ansteatt aged about 18 of Batavia died in Cincinnati hospital Saturday morning from pneumonia after an operation for rupture performed a week earlier. He wished to enlist in the navy and had returned home for the procedure. He was buried Monday at 10 at U B church with burial at Union cemetery. Revs Bremer Wegner and Burdsall officiated. The family receives the community’s sympathy.
