Clermont War Price and Rationing Board reports a vigorous OPA enforcement program. During Michigan deer season 1935, 1,375 motorists were warned for possible gas ration misuse and 835 heat fines issued up to 90 days. Springfield and Dayton liquor dealers fined from 1,000 to 2,000 for price violations. The board notes widespread confusion over used car transfer certificates and gas rationing procedures.

Funeral services for Bernice Boyer 36 mother of seven were held at Kennedy funeral home Bethel. She was struck and killed instantly on Route 125 east of Bantam Clermont County by Norman Davis 19 of Williamsburg. Sheriff Tom Brooks said no charges were filed against Davis.

Final Date For Filing Dairy Feed Payments in Clermont County
County A A A chairman Saxton urges immediate filing of September and October 1944 dairy feed payment applications. Starting 1945, January to March payments will be combined and possibly paid quarterly if the program continues. Sales slips and applications for November and December 1944 must be filed between January 1 and February 28, 1945, with 1945 January to March slips due April 1 to May 31, 1945. Late filing risks losing eligibility.

Austin Carman 79 a Milford area resident died last Tuesday from a heart attack suffered on a Loveland Madeira bus. Funeral services were held at Craver Funeral Home Milford and burial at Calvary Cemetery Duck Creek Road. He was a retired farmer active in local farm and community groups. He leaves two sisters Amelia Carman and Kate Beckley.
