Clermont county opens the Silver Black Fox Ranch in Forestville on Grant Highway State Route 12% for a three day public inspection starting Saturday December 31. Proprietor W. E. Ayer presents registered foxes and explains the fur farming venture as profitable and healthful.
Batavia and surrounding residents may attend a Friday night dance at the Batavia Armory on December 30. The event promises good order and ample refreshments provided by the Batavia Rebekah lodge ladies serving lunch.

Thelma Roberts of Charleston sues John Donald of Ripley for 25000 in damages. In Common Pleas Court Judge White, after hearing witnesses and arguments, a jury could not decide, and a $3000 settlement was reached by both parties. Donald previously faced a 1901 murder charge in Clermont County, later convicted of a minor crime with a $100 fine.
An old time fox hunt in Clermont county starts Tuesday December 27 and runs three days with Batavia as headquarters for the dogs and hunters. Representatives with dogs are expected from Highland Pike Adams Brown and the home county making it a major sport event of the season.
Mrs. William Maham of Hyde Park and formerly of Williamsburg died in Christ Hospital after a brief illness and operation. She was a sister of Mrs. HB Peterson of this place. Funeral and burial will be in Williamsburg Friday.

D A R members and descendants gathered three miles south of Edenton in Clermont county to dedicate a one acre park marking General Anthony Wayne’s Indian war camp site. Dr. W A Galloway spoke as a Wayne descendant, paying tribute to two unknown soldiers who died there. The flags mirrored the 13 star banner carried toward Sandusky in the War of 1812.
Dr J C Gaskins formerly of Amelia died suddenly of heart disease at his daughter Mrs Apphia Guild Jerman's home in Hudson New York at age T1. He was both a lawyer and a doctor. Funeral services were in Cincinnati for his son J C Gaskins Jr and burial in Amelia. Chas Minnie of Deerfield pike was arrested on liquor charges by Sheriff Croswell and deputies and released on $600 bond to appear before Judge White.
