Nichols and Prosecutor F A Roberts secured a quick hearing aided by Donald Hall. The board approves a financing plan with $20,000 county funds and the rest financed by the Civil Works Board.

Clermonter R. B. Daye of Milford was elected president of the Milk Producers' Union of Greater Cincinnati at a Wednesday meeting in Recreation Hall Mariemont. Harry R. Shaw of Oregonia was chosen vice president, William McKay of Olive Branch secretary, and Henry Frankenberg Jr. of Camp Dennison treasurer. Attendance was lighter than expected.
An Army airplane en route from Lincoln Airport Cincinnati to Columbus made a forced landing Saturday afternoon on the Frank Schobert farm near Owensville due to a short gas supply. No damage to plane or pilot occurred, and a crowd of curiosity seekers gathered.
James E. Robinson 73 a longtime Cincinnati attorney and Clermont County educator died suddenly from a heart ailment in his Miami Florida winter home. A former classmate of Charles G. Dawes he practiced law since graduation from Cincinnati Law School focused recently on estate administration. Survived by four daughters Mrs Eloise Muchmore Tampa Mrs Phila Lee Patterson Tampa Mrs Bertha V Hobart and Mrs Elsie Smith Miami Beach funeral held at Cincinnati home and burial in Batavia Cemetery.
Indiana farmer W L Everson will be the principal speaker at a county wide mass meeting of Clermont farmers next Thursday evening December 28 at the United Brethren Church. County Agent Baugh will explain the tobacco and Corn Hog contracts and the Corn Hog program. Everson owns a Montgomery County farm near Crawfordsville and is praised for uniting farmers.Refreshments will be served by church ladies.
A temporary county committee will oversee preliminary steps of the Agricultural Adjustment Administration corn and hog production control program in Clermont County. Committeemen include J. F. Robinson Amelia and others. Corn payments are 30 cents per bushel with reductions for admin costs, tied to 1929–1933 yields. hog payments are 5 per head for 75 percent of base farrowed hogs. Part payments begin after contract acceptance by the secretary of agriculture.
Gaylord Van Der Ver of Pt. Pleasant sues William Ernst of Moscow Ohio and the Streitmann Biscuit Co of Cincinnati in Clermont Common Pleas for 20085.85 dollars. Britton and Britton represent the plaintiff for injuries from an auto crash on the A. P. Highway near Pt. Pleasant last June.
Mrs. Koevenance Young Hahn died at her sister Anna Jones’s home in Summerside. The remains were at W Sterling Moore Funeral Home where services were held Tuesday December 26 at 2 pm with interment at Mt Moriah.
James L. Sweeney died at home of Mrs. Henry Andres in Mount Carmel on Sunday December 24 at age 90. Funeral services will be held Wednesday December 27 at 10 a.m. at Moore Funeral Home Batavia. Burial follows at Clermont Rose Hill Cemetery.
