The jail facilities are clean well lit heated and serve meals on hotel dishes though sanitary standards require improvement in closets and baths. Prisoners have daytime freedom with night lockup and conduct activities including reading and church services. Repairs noted including window ropes blinds and better records storage. The Infirmary is praised for cleanliness and food quality but needs flooring bathroom plumbing and porcelain closets. An acetylene gas generator is installed and working. The lack of sufficient bedrooms closets and record storage is highlighted. Per capita costs for clothing feeding and medical care are about fifty two dollars with inmate counts at last visit totaling fifty nine.

Move to organize a Daughters of America lodge in Loveland as an auxiliary to the Junior Order O U A M. The men believe they cannot progress without the aid of the ladies, and the order is rapidly growing and poised to lead in time.
A 12 year old boy and his 5 year old brother were playing near a wood pile when the younger boy put his foot on the block. The elder boy struck, severing toes from the left foot. A doctor treated the wound and the toes were found eaten by a nearby dog.

A College of elocution graduate with diamond medals she is praised for her art and drawing admiration. Batavia orchestra provides the music. program to be announced.
Last week control of Newtonsville Canning Co. moved from Kroger Grocery and Baking Co. to Hopkins Montgomery Co. Loveland. C. A. Hopkins elected president G. M. Roudebush treasurer F. X. Owens secretary. Plans unveiled for a large double line corn and tomato canning plant with ample acreage secured by the treasurer who owns about 2500 acres. At a Sunday Junior League gathering Rev. Burdsall was honored with a basket of fruit for his devoted care of the children.

Edward Thayer 71 a longtime Clermont county Republican died at his Miamiville home last Thursday after a long illness. He leaves a widow and four children and was buried Saturday in Miamiville cemetery. He was a well liked and respected man.
