County approves bonds for Signode Paper facility project
County commissioners Thursday approved 2.25 million dollars in economic development revenue bonds for Signode Paper Products new office and manufacturing plant at Wards Corner Business Center. Bond issue to be sold Dec 30 at six percent through Gradison and Company with a 2.6 million letter of credit from Central Trust Co. AAA rating claimed. Public hearing set Jan 9 at 10 a.m. in the County Commission meeting room for 3.5 million in bonds to fund Shihasi Investments to buy land and build a Best Western hotel. Proceeds and tax levies for 1986 finalized including 10 mill limit, 3.2 mill levy yielding 3.856 million to general fund and other allocations.
