Sheriff Roberts and Deputies Meinken and Kain confronted Clyde Cann at the H E Brooking farm near Nicholsville. Cann, a jealous husband, opened fire in a barn dispute. the sheriff was wounded in the shoulder. Cann fatally shot himself. Cann’s body taken to White Funeral Home in New Richmond for Wednesday funeral.
