On a special Christmas day the Clermont Special Classes welcomed Santa with assistance from Eugene Grill of the Northeastern Lions Club and Lion Joe Thomas filming. Principal Gilbert Dale spoke on staff work with the students and the joy of their classroom visits as Michele Knauff, Gay Meyers, and Robin Workman presented pictures and the girls led carols. Lions Club members were praised for bringing happiness to less fortunate youths, urging continued community support beyond the season.

County commissioners opened bids at 10 am Tuesday for the Sugar Camp Run sewage plant in the Miami Goshen Stonelick sewer system. Three proposals were received but award hinges on a court ruling after Common Pleas Judge Ralph A Hill denied a temporary injunction. Final hearing set for Friday Dec 29 at 10 am. Apparent low bidder Mt Crab bid 440887, Walter Construction Co Cincinnati bid 463691. Commissioners have until Jan 17 1973 to award.
