Pioneer citizen August Bartlett dies at 82 in Felicity
August Bartlett aged 82 died at his Felicity home on September 9 after 20 years as township trustee and periods as road supervisor. He was a public spirited citizen. Survived by a widow, two sons, four daughters, 16 grandchildren and 14 great grandchildren. Funeral was held Wednesday. Felicity has recently lost several pioneer residents.

Compromise Will Save County Money in Murder Case
Charles Conway, 69, of Eden, pleaded guilty to second degree murder in the fatal shooting of Chas. Fawley, 18, near Edenton. Judge Charles G. White sentenced him to life in the Ohio Penitentiary, a deal reached to avoid a trial set for December 30. Fawley died October 7 at Bethesda Hospital after a field shooting two miles west of Edenton.
