Mr. Baseball founder Stanley Anstaett dies at 78
Stanley Anstaett known as Mr Baseball in Clermont County died at his Batavia home aged 78. He founded knothole baseball in the 1940s, led 24 teams with about 80 trophies, and started Amelia High School's Blue Barons program in 1933, earning county and state honors. He also built Clermont County’s first lighted field and long served as Batavia Township clerk for 52 years. He is survived by two sons, a daughter, and eight grandchildren.
