Takes the Palm for Fine Bicycle Riding at Age Seven
The Cincinnati Commercial highlights Miss Lucille Kain of Williamsburg in Clermont county as a remarkable seven year old bicyclist. Since July she has ridden long distances and won prizes at the Hulick and Weaver reunion for grace and best decorated wheel. She rode over sixty miles to Cincinnati and back without fatigue and is deemed a phenomenal rider for her age.

Uncle John Reynolds, inmate of the infirmary for ten years, died Monday morning in his 83rd year. Once a farmer near Amelia, he lost his possessions and found shelter with a humanitarian community. He leaves a married daughter in Cincinnati.

Carriage Accident Injures Wright Moore Family

Georgetown printer and pilot released after life term commutation
Henry Bascon Campbell, once a printer and river pilot in Georgetown, was sentenced to life for the 1888 killing of Marshal Whittaker. Last week his sentence was commuted to fifteen years. after ten years served with good time added he was released to spend Christmas at home. He is about 75 years old, and recalled as having worn shoes his wife gave him when he went into prison.

James V. Leonard Dies at 70 After Stroke in Bethel Area
James V. Leonard, aged 70, died December 14, 1897, at his home on upper Maine street after a paralytic stroke. Born June 22, 1827 in Bethel, he married Phoebe Jane Hulick in 1853 and ran a blacksmith and wagon shop. A former member of the 153d regiment O.V.O, he leaves a widow, four daughters and one son, to be buried tomorrow at 2 p.m. by the Odd Fellows from the family residence with a sermon by Rev. Baily. He was regarded as a valuable citizen, upright and kind.
