County commissioners received clearance from Peck Shaffer Williams that there are no legal or financial obstacles to merging Williamsburg and Bethel sewer systems into the county system. Drafts of merger documents will be used for village negotiations as EPA cleanup costs drive the plan. Sewage would be piped to the Amelia Batavia Township Plant downstream from Batavia, with rates likely adjusted by project needs.
